42. Why is there a need to revise the airport pass fees?

The last revision to the airport pass fees was made in 1990. Due to rising cost pressures, Changi Airport had to review and adjust the airport pass fee.

43. When will the revised airport pass fees come into effect?

The new airport pass fees will come into effect on 1 April 2023. Regardless of the application and pass approval date, the revised fees will kick in for all payments made from 1 April 2023 onwards.

44. Why is the revised airport pass fees a flat rate regardless of duration?

As the cost of the airport pass consumables is the same regardless of the validity period of the pass, the revised fees takes into account the production cost of the airport pass, instead of the validity period.

All payments made from 1 April 2023 onwards will be charged at the revised rate, regardless of the date of the Airport Pass approval email. The payment system will be suspended from 2301hrs on 31 March 2023, to enable the fees revision to be effected.

The earliest date you can submit your renewal application is 30 days before the expiry date of your airport pass. Submissions earlier than this 30 days period may be rejected.
